Rest Stop

$540.00

In between my home and the nearest biggest town are many rest stops. My home is on the side of a mountain so travelling anywhere means high mountain passes, road signs slowing you to seventy kilometres an hour, or sixty, or fifty, and in some places thirty kilometres an hour.

It's a lot of high cliff sides, glacier fed lakes, and forest so dense even deer can't get through it. This makes rest stops vital, and we are intensely grateful for these places of beauty. This is my favourite stop. It's high. 850 meters elevation! The wind howls through this valley. And I stand at the edge of the cliff (safe behind the fence) observing.

This art is painted on an archival gessobord and is framed in a very simple oak frame that is low profile. I love hanging this type of art in high traffic areas because it sits less than one inch from your wall. This is a repurposed photo frame and as such there is no charge for the frame. It's backed in acid free card with hanging slot.

With the frame this acrylic piece is 15x12 inches. This painting is one in a two part series, the view in the other direction is titled, “Still Standing.” Please check my listing to see its availability.
