It's the long grass, the cracks in the dry mud from the last inundation, the bugs, birds, and critters. Listen! I hear a meadow lark!The edges of the mountains look sharp and stark against the late afternoon sky. Almost as if they aren't mountains at all, but an edge where the sky gets cut off.
